TENERIFE CARNIVAL 2022 was a very special one, it was a time we all had been waiting for long and it was also happening outside the usual dates; June 2022 was the time to take our costumes out and go back to dance on the streets.
Our favorite designers Santi Castro and Daniel Pages were as always during the past 12 years, the ones hosting our Erasmus European students. For the first time we hosted also students from Iceland and three of them from make-up & and wellness studies had the opportunity to learn about artisitic/ fantasy make up for one of the Tenerife dancing groups "Comparsa Los Rumberos".
One of the Erasmus group of students could only came on February 2022 and were not that lucky to see the galas, parades and conquest that make the Tenerife carnival a very special one.
Students could not belive that the costume they had been working at WAS ACTUALLY ELECTED THE QUEEN, Ruth, the candidate who was showing Santi Castro designer was ELECTED QUEEN OF TENERIFE CARNIVAL 2022. Daniel Pagés design followed very close to be a winner costume: our students were divided between the two designers so we had some of them crying with happines and we had some others crying with sadness... really difficult for us TJT team as well because we love them both, honestly.
Emotions, crying, fun, learning, so many things happening in one night: this is the magic of non formal education.
