TENERIFE, MUCH MORE THAN SAND & SEA….LOVE IT¡¡
30 de marzo del 2013 Personal experiences

I always say that what you learn about a place by walking every single mile, you will never learn it by using the most modern and fastest transport. If on top of this you have somebody next to you that knows about the nature, the stones, the history and the people that once walked the same path for a living, then you know everything about the place.
This is what happens to all of us in these pictures, Fran (Francisco José Rodriguez Sousa) is that magic person that tells us everything and at the end of every trekking next to him, we feel that we not only enjoy a landscape but also understand how life and nature have changed along the years. This is a volcanic island and living conditions 50 years ago where difficult when water is difficult to get, there are no rivers or lakes and the mountains made connections complicated. These paths we are happily walking today with our cameras, once were the place people used searching for wood, water or carrying potatoes to change for fresh fish in the coast.
Today we have wonderful beaches and great places for fun on holidays, but never never forget about these magical landscapes, try to enjoy it too.
All the pictures that you see here are taken in Masca, Erjos and Monte del Agua in north west Tenerife, Canary Islands. The canyon pictures and natural bridges have been taken in barranco Lalinde and Tajao, east Tenerife. Ask me more about how to get there: marivi@tenerifejobtraining.com
