Students training at the Carnival of Santa Cruz

"With the endorsement of Carnival as a Festival of International Tourist Interest since 1980 and without this tradition delves into the virtues as an industry of social and economic relevance, our company Tenerife Job Training has facilitated this edition the participation of fifty European students in the workshops of designers, make-up artists and stylists of the Santa Cruz carnestolendas.

The students experienced the job in the workshops of designers such as Santi Castro, Juan Carlos Armas, Alexis Santana or David Hernández, as well as in the costumes of the Gala of Election of the Queen of Carnival, by the hand of Daniel Pages.

They have also been able to perform makeup practices with Juan Castañeda, which has allowed them to make the makeup of murgas like Diablos Locos or Ni Fú-Ni Fá, or the one that the components of the comparsa Los Valleiros look."

We are incredibly proud of the Erasmus project that we have carried out with so much commitment and passion and of the collaboration of the students involved who were able to achieve innovative and engaging practices during the Carnival. 

Each student contributed their own talent and creativity, putting into practice the knowledge acquired during the period of study.

In addition, we had the opportunity to be welcomed by the major of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, to thank our Erasmus students for their important contribution to the creation of "The best carnival in the world".

In the same week, it took place our annual "Spanish & Carnival" training course; we had the pleasure of welcoming participants from different European universities and more in particular: the Slovak "Comenius University Bratislava", the Polish "Goldap Community Fund" university and the French Universities "Sciences Po Aix-en-Provence" and "Universitè de Montpellier".

This was a unique opportunity to experience the carnival firsthand, combining learning with the experience!
